Our back-attached dog harness and THE Simplest dog harness in the world, ever. REAR SIMPLICITY. The leash attaches on the back of the dog. This is perfect for when you don't need the steering/control our front-leading harness gives you. Perfect for hiking, tracking, running, nose work or other high energy activities. Also great for when medical issues prevent the use of a front leader and situations where a rear-attached harness will help the dog e.g. for leg strengthening. Rear attached is also recommended if your dog has sensitive armpits, as the body strap is pulled away from them.

OUR BACK ATTACHMENT IS A FREE-FLOATING RING. The free-floating ring provides the human walker more freedom and flexibility and it functions better in the many real life situations one encounters on a walk than a stationary ring does. The ring only has a limited amount of movement – as it’s ‘locked’ between the two side arms of the harness. Also, the ring doesn’t actually really move much during the walk –it’s ‘held’ in place by the tension on the leash and also by the dog’s body. When it does move, it does so naturally, without bothering the dog. It also moves to the best position – correcting for where the dog is actually located. This makes the harness more comfy for dogs AND easier to use for their humans

The heart of each Rear Simple is Nylon webbing

The pull-points are all double reinforced: They are sewn with Industrial strength Tex 70 nylon thread-for the strength to stand up to a pulling dog, and with a high stitch-per-inch count for added resilience and durability.

To protect the dog's skin and eliminate chaffing and rubbing, the harness is engineered so all the finished ends face away from the dog, and importantly with NO hard metal rings, sliders, and inflexible doubled over and sewn webbing to touch the dog.

The leash attachment is a tough nickel-plated steel ring, 50% thicker than lightweight rings, and welded for increased strength.

For extra security the buckles are Acetyl plastic which is a strong, durable, stable material - versus nylon plastic buckles, which are prone to cracking and breaking because they are sensitive to both moisture and temperature variations.
